Copying a script will allow you to take a script that you've already configured and duplicate it. This can save set up time and allow you to quickly spin up a new location or campaign which may be using a similar or the same script you've already made. To get started, we need to gather two pieces of information. We'll need the Script ID of the script to be copied, and the Location ID of the Location you'd like to send the copy to.

Script ID

To find your Script ID, edit the script you'd like to copy. The Script ID will be at the end of the URL. In this case, it's 4848.

Location ID

Next, we'll need the Location ID. This will designate the Location within your Campaign that the newly copied script will be placed in. To find your Location ID, click the Locations button and look for the ID number to the right of the appropriate location. This location's ID is 1935.

Copying your Script

Now that we have our two ID numbers, we can copy the script. Click the Admin button, then click Deployment Scripts.

Next, fill in the Script ID and Location ID as gathered above, enter a name for your new Script, and click Copy Script.

Keep in mind the script name must not already be in use elsewhere in your Campaign. After copying the script, it will be available within a minute in the destination Location.

Copying a script does not bring over any walklists or records that have been uploaded to the original script. This allows you to duplicate a script and upload the same data if you'd like to make another pass at the same turf. It also allows you to upload completely different records to a duplicate of an existing script so you can keep them separate for administrative or reporting purposes.
