Canvasser accountability is important to any campaign, so we provide several tools to ensure canvassers are staying where they should be, and to guarantee the accuracy of the data they collect.

Current User Location

If you'd like a map of where every single currently logged in canvasser is located, click Current User Locations from the Canvasser view.

You'll be shown a map of each canvasser, color coded to show how recently their device has checked in with our servers. Click on any of the dots to view that canvasser's details. You can narrow this map to a specific campaign location, as well as how far back you'd like to view.

User Route Map

This tool is similar to the Current User Location map, but it will contain historical location data instead of real time. Access it from the Canvasser view as well.

Here you'll be able to pick a date, then view each of your canvasser's route for that day. If you like, you can also narrow to location, and even a single canvasser.

Connect Status

The Connect Status tab, available when viewing a single canvasser, will allow you to see a snapshot of the canvassers day. It will have color coded dots, corresponding to surveys and GPS locations.

After clicking the Connect Status tab, you can choose which day to view. The map below will populate for that canvasser's day. Purple dots are GPS locations, simply showing different positions of the canvasser throughout the day.

Green dots represent surveys that occurred where the GPS location of the tablet indicates they were standing within 150 feet of the door. Red dots represent surveys where the GPS indicates the canvasser was more than 150 feet from the door. Click on any of the dots to see details for that event.

It's fairly typical to see a few red dots for a canvasser's day, as GPS isn't always perfect, or in areas of poor connectivity, but if you see more red than green, it may be worth looking at that canvasser's day in more detail using the other reports we go over in this article to see if they're actually knocking where they should be.

Field Verification Report

The Field Verification Report provides useful insight into each canvasser's day. You can access this report from the Reports area of our website.

You'll specify a date and a script you want to run this report for. Once you do, click Export to Excel and your report will download.

The report will contain a row for each canvasser who was active that day.

Doors: the number of doors the canvasser knocked.

Contacts: how many surveys the canvasser completed.

Start time: the time of the first knock or survey for the day.

End time: the time of the last knock or survey for the day.

Time canvassing: how many hours the canvasser was actively canvassing.

10 Minute, 15 Minute, and 45 Minute Gap: how many gaps of each time period occurred between knocks or surveys for this canvasser.

45 Minute gap time: how much time total was spend during gaps of 45 minutes or more.

Total gap time: the total amount of time spent between knocks or surveys.

Time at doors: the total amount of time spent at doors conducting surveys.
